I currently have a desire to take some accounting classes to try to get my CPA later on. I was wondering if any universities near Seoul offer (preferably English) accounting courses you can take without enrolling as a full time student.

Anyone know anything about this?

Thank you

Actually, I took first-year basic accounting at Yongsan army base through the University of Maryland extension system. Did this 20 years ago, and seems they still offer it. At that time, it was possible for non-military to get semester permission to take courses on-base. Being as how it was before 9/11, who knows anymore but worth checking out. In English, regular US course credit, official transcript etc.

Can take subsequent courses from UofMd anywhere in the world they have extension facilities. Recall buying the textbooks through that base as well. Had to pay in US$ as I recall, that was somewhat complicated but not insurmountable (think it involved buying a USPS money order on the base).

Try contacting the Yongsan office (or others if more convenient) and ask about non-military enrollments.

hello,

just curious for an update, as I am also considering registering for the basic accounting course at Yongsan. Did they still allow non-military to enroll?
