Hi,

Does anyone know the general time it takes to be given a visa number AFTER the documents have been submitted to Kimmi.

I plan to hand in my arc and more or less immediately have a new employer submit new documents for a new visa number which I will have sorted out in a Korean Embassy.

Is your visa cancelled immediately once you hand in your arc?

Cheers

ummm... unless you are pulling a runner or are changing visa classes, why turn in your ARC?

Either:
a) transfer your sponsorship to the new employer (60k for the transfer + 30k for the extension) or
b) switch to a D10 (50k + 10 for a new ARC) then switch again to the new employer after they get themselves sorted (again, 60k won).

IF you are changing visa classes then it will take 4-15 working days for kimmi to sort out a new visa confirmation number and then an overnight trip to Japan to actually get the new visa in your passport.

.

I have to be out of Korea for a few weeks. I will have finished a four and a half month extension to my first contract when that time comes. The boss is paying my flight out as per the end of my previous contract. Basically I don't want him to know I'm returning shortly after he flew me out as he could get dodgy about the flight out etc etc.

Getting new docs is the angle I'm taking because it keeps him out of it as much as possible.
