Quote:
A 31-year-old man opened fire on his former co-workers at an automobile parts factory in western South Chungcheong, killing one and injuring two, and then led police in a nearly one-hour, high-speed chase on a major highway, shooting at them as he drove.

The suspect, surnamed Seong, worked at the car seat manufacturing plant three years ago in Suseok-dong, Seosan, a city in western South Chungcheong.

After his arrest, he told police, During the period I worked at the factory my coworkers bullied me, so I wanted retaliation, according to police.

He had over 200 shotgun shells. It could've been a lot worse.

I wonder what kind of ammo he was using. I'm guessing since its a hunting weapon it probably wasn't 00 buck shot. Perhaps 1 buckshot since they mention boar hunting and he killed one guy with 10 rounds fired at a group of people. Not the most effective anti-personnel weapon.

Note to self: Get 00 or bigger when loading shotguns.

Maybe he just had a 410 or 20 gauge. I'm guessing a 20 gauge.

If he had a 12 or 10 gauge and it was close range, he would've really mess people up.

That model (Benilli Nova) comes in 12 and 20ga. No way was it a .410, probably a 20ga like pkang said.

For boar hunting you would use slugs.
Not that you couldn't take a boar with 00, but it's unlikely unless you're right on it.

Really strange story. He also had the 3 plastic bottles of gasoline with him. Who knows what kind of stuff he was planning.
And he finally drinks poison when he had a shotgun with plenty of ammo around? Must be going for the insanity plea.

Probably should have used a vintage Daewoo 12 gauge street sweeper. Back when Korea exported some decent firearms. It was drum fed w/ full auto option & provided a nice selection of rounds.
I likes.

Nice staging of the pic in the OP (unless it's a mostly non-Korean readership, in which case it would look totally staged thereby detracting from its aura of competence).

In other news, a waegukin (full name, workplace and adress given) was accused of holding hands with a korean woman in public (full name, email, place of work, cyworld homepage and adress given) by a passing ajosshi surnamed Kim.

The waegukin has been deported and his local newspaper in his hometown has been informed of his shameful activities.
