Hey ya'll

I recently declined an EPIK contract because of a family emergency at home. I asked if I could defer the contract to the fall, but was told it was not possible and also under EPIK policy, I can never re-apply again because I declined the initial contract.

Does anyone has any experience/knowledge of this. Is it true? I would love to apply EPIK Fall 2012, but I am not sure if I qualify because I decline an EPIK contract before.

Chances are you were just talking to a disgruntled recruiter unless you actually got to the point where EPIK issued a NOA.

If they issued the NOA and you were a no-show then your only options left would be GEPIK, private hire by a PS or a hagwan.

What is a NOA? I only got to the point where they sent documents (i.e. visa forms, contract, etc) to the Korean embassy in the U.S. However, I never signed any forms or saw any of the forms.

If you didn't sign a contract or submit hard copies of your documents to Korea then you are fine.
