I am about to sign a contract for a part time teaching position. I know not to expect severance, airfare or pension or health benefits. But if I'm working fixed hours from 1-4pm Monday to Friday for a fixed period of 12 months is it acceptable to ask to be paid for holidays when the school closes (it is a kindergarten). They close for two weeks per year. The contract also states I will be paid overtime for the same hourly horly rate. Thanks for any advice.
