| Is it possible to buy a Korean-style power cord and just replace the US-style one my laptop came with? In other words, are those cords universal (or at least limited to just a few basic kinds)? I don't think I could get one from the manufacturer easily or cheaply. I have a converter, but things don't fit very firmly in place when using it, which is not good for the cord. |

I bought a replacement cord after mine died. It came with a Korean style and U.S 3-prong style wall plug that you could switch at the box. It was for an HP laptop, it cost me around 80k which was what HP was asking before shipping to send me a new U.S only style plug.
It's possible, you just gotta look around. |

| You can grab one at Yongsan or on G-Market for about 20 bucks. |

| Are you asking for the cable that connects to the power brick to the outlet or the whole thing? If you're just looking to replace the cable to the outlet to the power brick, you can get one for 5k won. I had to replace one last year. There's a guy sells for all different cables for different power bricks, behind 선인 plaza. |

I was in Turkey not long ago, and I thought there was something wrong with my power cord because my computer wasn't charging. It wasn't the cord, it was the fact that Toshiba seemed to have purposely allowed for it to be easy for the charging port to come loose. A friend fixed that. Anyway, in Turkey I bought a cord that works in Korea, too. That way, I don't have to worry about having an adapter for it.I have an adapter, but I don't like using them. Bring your adapter with you to Yongsan, and you can get the cord no problem. It cost me 5 bucks in Turkey, but it's probably more expensive in Korea. |
