I love how the writer referred to the most recent solar minimum as a "relative calm." The Sun has been extremely inactive the past couple of years.

Apparently this was one of those events that, had the press not made it public, nobody would have noticed (which makes me philosophical - is it even possible not to notice something that didn't happen?
