I am searching for a job in Busan. So far, all of the positions I have been offered are either in the middle of nowhere or they are trying to hire me as an independent contractor. This is on top of other shady contract trickery.
Am I being unrealistic? I have all of my documents, and am ready for an ASAP or April position. Maybe conditions have gotten that difficult for teachers. |

Just keep looking. You'll have to turn down a lot of positions before you find a legitimate one, but you'll get one eventually, especially with your documents in hand and being ready to go ASAP.
Are you using recruiters? How many? How long have you been looking, and how many bad positions have you been offered? |

You have eliminated most of your job options with such a limited location preference. Busan is a popular choice for teachers, which means that every school has many choices for each open position. So unless you happen to have some of the more desired attributes sought by schools you will not receive the best offers. |

Yes, I am using multiple recruiters, about 8 I think. I've been looking for about 1.5 months, and have been offered 3 bad contracts and 1 decent one. It is in Daegu, but I am considering it. I'm just waiting to talk to a foreign teacher.
I have my documents, and looking to leave ASAP. I would like to leave as soon as possible because I already quit my job and my lease in the states expires at the end of April. |
