Hi everyone. I will need to apply for this again in the next few months, and would like some info on a specific problem.
Obviously this CRC will need to be signed by a solicitor, and in previous years I have gotten my family to just go into town and do it for me. But after four years in Korea I am trying to limit the amount of work they need to do for me, as I feel like they are getting a little bored of doing all this visa stuff.
So my question is this: I think that disclosure scotland can do this for you. As in they stamp the check with the equivalent of a solicitor's signature. So how do you request for them to do this? Every time I go online to order my CRC it takes me through the steps, but not once does it ask me if I want this service. Do you have to call them up? Send them a letter? Or am I just being stupid and its actually available for request online?
I hope this is succint and understandable. My head is full with cold and I can't really think straight right now. |

You email them (after you apply) with your reference number and request it. Say it needs to be signed for an apostille. You could call them, too. |

I go through 'Disclosure Scotland' which is an agency of the Scottish government (according to their website.) They do national criminal checks for people in the UK. (Not too sure about Ireland though.)
I guess you could go through the police to get one, but its not necessary for Korean immigration. Korean immigration accept Disclosure Scotland, it takes about a week or so to process and its not too expensive either.
This is the website: http://www.disclosurescotland.co.uk/ |

I've ordered this last week. So after Disclosure Scotland has had a signatory do his thing, you don't need to take this to get it apostilled afterwards? It's good to go for K-immi? Perfick. |

No. You still need to get it apostilled afterwards unfortunately. However thankfully it's quite painless to get the apostille. Takes no time at all and they deliver straight to korea, if you want them to. |
