Has anyone on here done the airport transfer from Incheon to Gimpo? How was it? Hard? Easy?
I fly into Incheon, and then I have to transfer to Gimpo, to fly to Gwangju. |

It's cake. Don't sweat it. When you exit the airport you'll see the signs. It's cheap, and takes about 20 ~ 30 mins. (if I remember correctly). |

There are airport buses that leave from outside Incheon arrivals and go to Gimpo. Last time I did it I think it was 4,500 won - but that was over two years ago so my memory might be wrong. Can't remember how long it took - but it certainly wasn't really long. |

My recruiter screwed me over and set it up where my next flight left an hour after my first flight touched the ground. It's a 20 minute bus ride and was my first experience in Korea. To top it off, it took about 40 minutes for my luggage to come out. No way in hell I made that flight. Tried to spend the night in the airport before being kicked out. |

Often times, one hour for an international transfer at the same airport isn't enough time. Your recruiter really screwed up there.
Given enough time, it's really easy to make the transfer. You can try the new train to Gimpo. |

Airport express subway train isn't that much faster than the express bus.
Also, the damn area where you scan your ticket is REALLY narrow. How the hell are you suppose to squeeze your luggage through? |

Bump this old thread. I need to do the same thing in 2012 to fly to Jeju.
What is the best way to transfer from Incheon airport to Gimpo? |

As someone who currently lives right near Gimpo, I can vouch for the airport express. Its cheap, clean and pretty fast. Its on the bottom floor of Incheon next to the ice rink. Its pretty foolproof to follow and you shouldn't get lost really.
I have seen people getting buses as well, but I personally haven't tried one of those so I can't give too much info on it. |

Cool, thanks missty. Is it easy to get your luggage on and off the airport express? |

Yeah, it was fine. I had no problems at all. I got my medium sized (and very heavy) suitcase onto the escalator going down, but they have lifts too. There was really no problem for me at all getting down to the subway line. Gimpo has lifts too, so you can just use those for getting around. Getting onto the train was also no problem either, you should be fine! |

Airport Railroad FTW. But take the local, not express. The express goes nonstop to Seoul Station. |
