Hello. Anyone know which university is preferred when apply for regular korean language program in a university?

I heard about Yonsei being good in grammar/writing and Sogang for conversation speaking. What about others? Dongguk, Sungkyunkwan?

To me, both writing or speaking is very important to me. I really want to do well for both. I do not want to waste money having to know/understand this and not that and ended up going to another language institute.

I personally prefer going for the language course in university but if you have good feedback about a learning center, do add in your reply too.

It will be highly appreciated! THANK YOU!

I have studied at two different university programs..none of those mentioned however.

One thing I would add is that different universities use different books. Both Yonsei and Sogang produce their own books....while other universities use books from Sogang, SNU...etc

So even if you did not attend Sogang..it is still possible to get the same type of instruction/program/focus at another university that uses their books...same applies to Yonsei, or any other university that uses Sogang/Yonsei/SNU course materials and objectives.

Ive studied both SNU books as well as Sogang books at the two different universities I mentioned above. However despite the consensus that Sogang is more geared to "speaking"..I did not get that feelings at all while studying those books. I felt like it was much more heavy on reading and writing that speaking (not to say it was light on speaking...just that I expected there to be more since people say the program is geared more to that end)...but that's simply just my opinion and experience.

I studied levels 5 and 6 at SNU and level 5 at Ewha, and both their programs are pretty balanced in terms of the time they dedicate to everything. Ewha produces their own materials, and I'd definitely recommend that program...my one complaint is lack of guys or other westerners in the classes, you'd probably get more of that at Yonsei.

I studied in the evening at both Sogang and Yonsei.
It was my experience that in the classroom more speaking practice was given at Sogang and more grammar and vocabulary was covered at Yonsei.
