My mom is coming to visit and I asked her to bring an Ipad with her.
Will customs make her pay a tax on it at the airport?

| Just have her remove it from the original packaging. If they ask, she can just say it is hers. |

I brought 2 Ipad 2's last year. 1 was open and I was using it. The 2nd one was in my checked bags new in box, shrink wrapped.
When I arrived home, I opened my luggage and saw the shrink wrap had been cut and opened.
Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary. |
