You can use the ATM of either bank without being charged a fee since Hana has taken over Korea Exchange!

I like KEB. I hope that's better for us in the end. KEB, anyway, was rather small. It didn't have so many branches, though it was expanding. Will the branches become Hana branches? |

if you were a VIP GOLD customer like I am, KEB never charged you for using other banks, and when the other bank did, they refunded it 
I am sad about Hana swallowing them up - Hana is a CRAP BANK with no idea how to serve foreign community in this country, I really hope they dont rebrand or try to use the "Hana way" of doing things or we can kiss goodbye to things like credit cards, overseas check cards and so on...my school signed me up with them and i went in once (speaking Korean) and all I got was unhelpfulness.
KEB and Hana are like night and day. I know KEBs staff are not happy about it either... |

I'm not happy about it. I like KEB. It's my bank. I guess KEB didn't feel it had the capital to get into major expansion and the owners were offered a good deal. Hana will probably have to make changes to its bank and learn from KEB if it wants to do better. I wonder if the KEB branches will remain with the name KEB for a while. |
