My mother's facebook account seems to be compromised. I have received weird emails with just a link. I searched about ways to fix it and passed on the details to her. The advice was to:

1. Change the password
2. Delete any apps
3. Run an anti-virus program

She did all the things above. I trust that she's done them properly. She is running Nod32 anti virus, which is updated. However, more weird messages have been coming from her account since she has done the above.

Has anyone had a similar problem. If so, how did you fix it?

if she does have a virus, it's good to have someone in the know check a hijackthis log that was run in safe mode (although some tricky virii try to disable running it)and then proper measures can be taken after that.

it's also possible she's been firesheep'd logging into fb at a public wifi hotspot which allows ppl on the same lan to log into other ppl's accounts
