I wasnt to go to Korea first and then look for a job. The cheapest round trip air fare I can fine is over $1000 US. I was told I could not buy a one way. Does anyone know where I can get a very cheap ticket and if there is anyway around the having to buy the round trip ticket since I wont yet have a teaching visa?
All help would be appreciated.

Hi Bri.
$1000 for a ropundtrip ticket from the US to Korea is fairly good. I generally pay $1400-$1600 Canadian. You might look into a flight with a couple of transfers. This generally brings airfare down a bit. I usually transfer in Chicago and Tokyo flying North Worst Airlines.
To the best of my knowledge there is no way around buying a roundtrip ticket unless you have a work VISA.

Buy 2 one-way tickets.
The return ticket can be fully refunded at Incheon airport when you arrive. Go to the office of your airline company and ask for a refund. Takes about 4 to 6 weeks with no questions asked.
I flew Air Canada and that's what I did.
No way to refund half of a round-trip ticket, though. |
