|
|
My alien card is ready for pick up at immigration, but due to my hours and distance from immigration I haven't been able to pick it up. Yeah, I should have requested that it be sent to me at my new school, but I didn't. Stupid, I know. But is there a time limit after which I can't pick it up? Can I wait a few weeks before going to pick it up? Seems like a stupid question, I know. But this being Korea, where immigration rules rarely confirm to what's logical or reasonable, I thought it best to ask.
Thanks in advance.

| I bet you could arrange by phone to have it mailed. |

| Took me 6 weeks to pick up my most recent one because I was always working when Immi was open - finally got a little time in the morning to go and get it. The option was there to have it mailed at the time I applied for it - having it mailed after the fact was complicated, because there's a charge for it. They didn't seem to care that it took that long, fwiw. |

| Same as above. I lost my card right before I left for Thailand and wasn't able to pick it up until I came back a month later. No rush it seems. At least not in Busan! |

I phoned. They wouldn't mail it because I had already written on the form that I would pick it up. Seems that some rules are enforced in Korea. Traffic and littering laws, well that's a different story. We just ignore those ones. |
