she smoked.

The guy exploded and overreacted.

One time I'm walking down the street with this gyopo girl from LA who had only been in Korea for a week. She lights up a cigarette and this ajosshi comes right up to her, starts cussing her out in Korean, calling her a tramp because she's smoking.

That girls slapped him so hard, cars stopped to see what the noise was. I stood there wide eyed, coudln't believe what just happened.

And then she starts going off on him laying down the Korean curse words and telling that ajosshi that she's gonna kill him, rip out his genitals, shove them down his throat, then crack open his skull with her high heel and suck out his brain matter with a straw.

That ajosshi ran away. The expression on his face immediately after he got slapped, and the fear after hearing her threats was priceless.

Now that's a bedtime story I can fall asleep to. Your Korean must be quite excellent regarding the bolded part, or she must have been extremely skilled at expressive gestures.

Please tell us that she is gorgeous too.
(even if she isn't...please just say she is)
That kind of self assuredness is wickedly sexy. Cool

I don't think anybody would take smoking on the subway as a stand against society. Its just another retarded ajuma.

Yeah, the girl most likely had mental problems or was drunk.

It wasn't only the smoking that was aggravating other people, it was her attitude. She just went on talking, cussing..

So that plus the smoking is asking for a problem to happen. On the news, the smoking lady's neighbors were interviewed and they said that she was a normal person and those actions on the subway were out of character.

Plenty of people do aggravating things on the subway on a daily basis. Barging, bumping, talking loudly on cellphones. That does not give me the right to initiate violence with them.

By contrast.. nobody steps in if its an ajosshi smoking on the subway. He gets a free pass..as you can see below.

But if ts a woman then the nearest male thinks its OK to hit her?

Actually she was sitting silently. It is only after she was jabbed repeatedly with an umbrella, or physically assaulted, that she was forced to defend herself.

First off, no she wasn't sitting silently. Go back and look at the video. She was prattling on and on from the moment the video started. And smoking in a subway car where smoking is banned is not sitting silently.

Also, there were times when she was smoking and no one cared and in fact chatted her up, so your claim that it will automatically lead to a woman being beat is false.

Also, its entirely plausible that an ajumma could take offense to her and start a physical altercation. Also it's possible that ajosshis or young men could get acosted by other ajosshis or young college students picked on by ajosshis. Your two videos are not the final word on the matter.

Next, when she wasn't jabbed with the umbrella. The guy tried to knock out the cigarette with the umbrella without poking her. It wasn't like he was bayonetting her with the umbrella.

Actually if starting a fire on a subway gives people the right to stop that using forceful means, same with starting a fire on a plane. I mean it's not like Korea has a history of tragic fires on subways or anything......

But hey, don't let anything like facts get in the way of your conclusions.

Are you willing to ignore the possibility that she is just a jerk or a nutcase or both?
