I have been talking to Billy from ETKorea recruiting. I was wondering if anyone has used ET and if it is legit. The first phone call was very brief, and he seemed in a hurry to get off the phone. Also he wants me to send two copies of my diploma and 2 FBI background checks to him in Korea, then he will send me the visa number. Is this common? Most places only ask for one copy of both. Any thoughts? Thanks

Ha!

Well to the OP. I have never heard of ET. But some advice is remember the recruiter is NOT the one hiring you. They are just a middle man. If you provide those papers to the recruiter right off the bat, he can sign you up for anything. The question is do you know what school your are signing (contract) for.

If he is not providing enough hand holding for you, then look elsewhere. Because in the end he needs you more then you need him. Still most recruiters will not deal with you unless you have paperwork handy. They do not want to wait around.

Also I think the two degree and CRC is redundant. Still confusion with MOE and paperwork. Unless you OP are gyopo or F series type visa. I think only one of each is needed BUT.... having some extras would be nice.

Remember once you hand over the paperwork, who ever has it owns your ass. They could put you in any job they want or delay you. Well until you get new paperwork done or is visa number got 3 months or more have passed.

I totally agree~ Though, I did work with Billy before... he set me up with a school (not a good one, tbh) and he helped me a lot during the initial process... but yeah, don't send him stuff until you have your contract and everything ready... why would you? And two copies of everything? Sounds weird...
