I've seen an increase in nutters on the tubes these days. I'm glad they're putting in cctv on some of the seoul line cars, and I'm loving the smartphone CCTV movement. That woman clearly needs professional help.

...the best way to have handled that is not to jab her with an umbrella.. but simply to call ahead to traffic police at the next stop.

Sweet. This video was linked on the right, my ladyfriend said it was the same woman. She also gave me a hilarious translation of the video below, about how this women insults Korean men for not being able to get it up and says Korea should be a place where you can drink and smoke anywhere.

...a little bit of international travel is a dangerous thing, lol.

Some K-women have had enough of being controlled in this society. I get it.

Yeah, but this isn't about women.
This is about incredibly rude and illegal behavior on public transit.
Clearly, this woman has mental issues.

Thanks, but she was not exactly hit much, was she?

I guess I was expecting a serious beat-down.

I think the video you're looking for is this one..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXPaOwXSZwU

Which is sickening. I don't care what she did- no man should be allowed to punch a woman and throw her against the wall like that. Apparently this is a hot issue at the moment, this woman is famous. Here she is interviewed on the news today- can anyone translate?

eeeouch!
Thanks for the link Julius...I hadn't seen that one.
This girl is really getting around.
Why is she not being arrested for smoking on the subway in any of these videos?
That link definitely belongs in the Corporal Punishment debate thread.

Arrest the woman for being both a nuisance and danger to the public, and arrest the men for assault. There are multiple recordings as evidence. I don't see what the big debate is.

Dunno.. my koreans not good enough.

I agree that this woman is insulting other passengers either verbally or by smoking in the car, but ... its shocking how everyone just sits around pretending to look at their cellphones and does nothing while a woman gets smashed up in front of them.
How can they all look eachother in the face..let alone sleep at night?. It really wouldn't take much for two people to jump in and restrain one or both of them.

My guess is that this woman is reacting against years of casual abuse-either domestic violence, or maybe as a prostitute.
