I bought a digital camera in Korea about a year or so ago.

I want to bring it with me but I charge it with Korean plugs. It's this camera: http://list.gmarket.com.sg/item/SAMSUNG-ELECTRONICS-HOT-SALE-HIT-SAMSUNG-DIGITAL-CAMERA/403273926

Samsung Vluu ES70

Would I be able to charge it with an adapter? Or do I have to buy a new camera?

I'm actually bringing it with me to Colombia, but there it's nearly identical (same plug/ 110V:60Hz) to the US.

If I just need an adapter, then anyone know where I can find one (Korean-->USA plug)? Thanks.

It shouldn't be much trouble.

Does your camera adapter say 110-240V, 50/60 Hz? If so, you only need a plug adapter that will change the Korean style plug to a US one. If not, just take it in to a Samsung, or generic electronics store in the US and get them to find you an adapter that will work in the US. If you can charge it via USB, that will work anywhere in the world.

I just looked at the plug and it does say 110-240V, 50/60 Hz. So it looks like I have to look around for the US-style plug adapter. Someone has to sell it somewhere I figure Laughing

Why pay 1000 won plus shipping for something that cost only 500 won at your local hardware store.

Good point. However, he can always print the pic and show it to a shopkeeper to save a little time and stress if there are any language issues.

I went over to gmarket and after some messing around and figuring out exactly what to search for in Korean, I ended up going with this one: http://english.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_goods/goods.asp?goodscode=218926643&pos_shop_cd=EN&pos_class_cd=90000001

Provided that I don't end up losing it then I won't need to buy another one of these things for quite a while.

The shipping's cheap, and since I would have had pay to get from my house to a store anyway, it made more sense to just buy from gmarket and have it shipped.
