I'm looking to travel to Daegu for a weekend. I need a private room (no hostels). Anyone know a decent place to stay for a low price?

Love motels are no good because they kick you out at in the morning. I need a place I can leave my stuff at all day.

In Beomeo-dong, New YeoungNam Hotel is decent. It's not the nicest hotel, but it's only about 65K a night. It's right outside Beomeo station. They have a buffet and microbrew. I lived in Daegu about 1 year 1/2 ago, but when I visit friends I usually stay there. Last time I went, they were renovating though. Maybe a local can give an update.

There's also a love motel around the corner from it that's a lot cheaper (about 40K if memory serves me right). They won't kick you out until noon. I've stayed there as well.

They're doing some stuff. I don't even think the hotel is there anymore.

Stay at the Novotel. It's about 120 a night but perfect location and very posh. Make the money back for the room playing poker at the Interburgo Hotel Casino. Smile
