old news...
and G.W.Bush canceled his last trip to Vancouver for the same reason.
Seems that if they leave the States (where US war criminals of all sorts are protected) they are destined for a one-way ticket to the Hague.
Guess that makes one ex-president and his VP that won't be on the lecture circuit.

This article came out in the middle of last week...not so old, really. This was Toronto. Vancouver was older. |

Makes for good media hype - in reality Cheney and Bush are untouchable. If nothing else our Nobel Peace laureate-in-chief would probably pardon them (if he could find the time in between launching new wars without congressional approval, that is). |

Agreed. And let's not forget who is running Canada right now. That is Stephen Harper (who backed the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.) Not going to happen. |

Cheney could not come to Canada because his doctors would not allow it. He has a very bad heart and Canada does not have a health care system that could provide him proper care if he becane ill. That is why it was called dangerous. |

^ yeah, a very bad heart is even putting it lightly; from what I've heard Cheney literally doesn't even have a pulse. (Hence all the Darth Vader jokes). |

Yep all the awards given were to Americans not a Canadian on the list. But Doctor Kimchi??? give me a break
The Cheney beast is probably unkillable, what the real danger is that Canadians will steal some DNA and create a race of super monsters and use them to control the world |

Gee, last time I checked Alberta was still in Canada.
Besides, what you should have noticed is that the award ceremony was held in Canada. |
