I just got a letter, via the post telling me about this - I've only looked at it quickly but I guess it's new? |

How much more expensive are these things here than they are in Costco?
On the website 1.36 kgs of Folger's coffee is 22.00 (is this dollars, or 22,000 won?)
How much is the same thing at Costco?
I lived in Korea a few years ago and I'm heading back in a few months, wondering how much prices have changed! |

Some stuff, that I know the prices of like peanut butter and chicken, have a bout a 4,000 +/- mark up.
If you live in the boonies and can't get there it seems OK. |

Do you have to be a Costco member to use the site? |

That's not costco, but someone who goes to costco buys stuff and ships it to you. EZshopkorea was another site. I know there are a few more.
Quite the markup, but for those that live in the sticks, it might be worth it. |

Has anyone had luck using the costco korea website and their delivery system. I have some Korean friends that do it, but have never tried myself. |

This is the Costco Korea website
http://www.costco.co.kr/
They do NOT have online ordering/delivery. There are other sites which people provide those services but the items are marked up higher. |

I got a letter (in the normal COSTCO style envelope, which members get monthly) from this company....

There was also a note pad inside which contained their web address at the bottom of each page - the logo and colour is a blatent rip off of COSTCO - I hope they get sued! |

Placed an order with: http://www.costlove.com/ So far so good.
MUCH cheaper than the other delivery companies. Also I don't have
to face the animals in the zoo. (Costco Korea shoppers) |

As far as I can tell, from what I remember when shopping at Costco, the prices are the same. They only charge a 900 won commission on each item. I think it's a great deal and they have a fairly large selection. Good for people that have a long drive. Mine is 3 hours round-trip and 60,000 in gas. |

Yeah, the commission is low. I just don't like going there. It is definitely a negative shopping experience. One thing I noticed is they don't offer everything. A lot of the beef, pork chicken and fish I don't see. Also, I didn't see any booze. I'm still searching the site. My Korean is so-so so it is taking a while. |

But my costco seems to be a better deal than the EZ shop site. Better prices except that EZ shop has some random non Costco items usually onlt found in the underground markets in Seoul. |

1. Sending me unsolicited mail (my details they have obviously bought/stolen directly from COSTCO)
2. The fact that they 'make out' that they are directly related to COSTCO, with the coloring of their website, the packaging that they sent the letter in (same as normal COSTCO newsletter)
What I don't understand is why COSTCO are allowing them to do this? |
