Anyone here do any serious couch surfing in the US?
What's the longest you've gone couch surfing?
I may very well end up with few week gap in the Seattle area this Fall. Don't want to blow my hard earned money paying for hotels etc......curious about others experiences and if this sounds like an insane amount of time to try it?
I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about where to store a very large suitcase and a few things while landing back in the US and doing the couch surfing? As I recall, I think it was pretty expensive to go the Rental storage way and they wanted a minimum of 3 months - but then again it's been a long time.

Another option might be to look at hostels. I had a similar situation and didn't want to be moving every couple of days to a new couch. So I emailed hostels that were in Seattle and ended up putting in a few hours of work for the hostel and had a bed to sleep in at night. On top of that, they would probably even let you store your luggage there. Not sure if this was what you're looking for but an idea all the same. |
