I have already gotten notorized copies of my my bachelor's degree from my University. Can I send them directly to the Department of State for apostillization (I think made up that word) or do I need to get some local or state level authentification? Thanks for you help! |

Send them to the state department, I don't know what state you're in, but if California: http://www.sos.ca.gov/business/notary/authentication.htm (just google "[name of state] state apostille" and then look for their government website in the results). It doesn't take very long to get it back maybe a week or a week and a half. I sent mine in on March 20th and got it back March 29th. |

It is confusing...
Your degree must be apostilled at the State level, but your authenticated CRC must be apostilled by the U.S. Dept. of State. |
