Found Doritos at my local super. Not imported ones from the US. They have Cheese and Barbecue flavor. Didn't have cool ranch though.
Yes this deserves its own thread. |

Those "Nacho" chips, if they are the ones I'm thinking about, used to be sold in a bag that was identical to a Doritos bag (can't remember if they were called Doritos, too). Doritos produced for the local market? I wouldn't be surprised. After all, they have Cheetos here (don't bother, you won't like it. Stick with Nachos). |

Find what? Whatever your response is, the answer is likely Itaewon. It's the only area without a minutia of flavor and variety.

Nobody is going to think I look like a psycho if I spend an hour taking a bus to Itaewon just to buy 7 bags of Doritos right?
Right? |

They automatically view you as an HIV spreading, Korean bloodline killing, English Dorito shilling merchant vagabond, anyway. What does it matter if you have 7 bags of Doritos with you? It's worth the trip. Crispy and flavorful. |

I think the whole point of this thread is that you don't need to go to Itaewon anymore.
Lotte is now manufacturing Doritos in Korea under license from Frito-Lay. Lotte also produces other Frito-Lay brands in Korea (Cheetos, Sun Chips, etc). In time you'll see these in convenience stores all over the country, and they won't cost an arm and a leg like the imported ones in Itaewon.

I haven't looked for Doritos in Korea for a couple of years, but I know they used to be easy to find almost anywhere in Seoul. They didn't taste anything like the NA version--maybe they stopped making them for a while? Perhaps a renegotiation in the merchandising and production agreement? |
