|
|
Hello
Does anyone know of a Korean product that is equivalent or similar to Maggi seasoning sauce? I'm looking for a sauce (not instant ramen) that (like Maggi) contains both:
1) MSG and
2) inosinate and/or guanylate.
I see Maggi at G-Market, but if there is a Korean product I can find locally, that would be more convenient.
Thank you.

I remember seeing something like it at EMart, but it was in a bag, not cubes. I haven't used it in a long time, so I don't know if they still have it. If i recall, it was in the baking section, not the soup section. |

I dont think people would use such things here. Its too salty
If there is something similar than it would have: red pepper paste sweet -soy sauce - daenjang taste or some sort of combination of these.
The Foreign Food Mart in Iteawon has a Russian section and you will find the stuff you are looking for. Its not just equivalent but its Maggi (or Knorr, I cant remember)
Im sure other Russian stores will have these stuffs around the country (Busan, Dongdaemun) |

I was surprised to find big bottles of maggi (the sauce, not the cubes) at a restaurant supply store in Busan. It looks like a regular mart but most items are "commercial" size. The maggi was near ingredients for Chinese food so maybe the Chinese restaurants use it. |

I'll admit that it's definitely uncommon here. That said, it's really not much different from the stuff in a ramien package. It's a different flavor but ramien itself is also pretty salty. |
