CAMARATA MUSIC COMPANY PRESENTS MENDELSSOHN�S ELIJAH

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA �Camarata Music Company Chorale and Orchestra to perform Mendelssohn�s dramatic oratorio, �Elijah� on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 7:30pm, at Chungdong First Methodist Church (34-3 Jeong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul (City Hall Station)).

Under the direction of Ryan Goessl, the CMC Chorale & Orchestra will be joined by soloists, Soprano MyungSung Han, Alto Allison Pozdol, Tenor SeungGakRyu, Bass SeungSeungWook, with Soprano Rachel Tibai and Boy Soprano JaeWon Choi.


�Elijah� marksthe tenth production in CMC�s regular concert series.


The story of Elijah is told in the books of 1 Kings and 2 Kings in the Old Testament. Israel has turned from God, and a continuing drought threatens the nation. God sends the prophet Elijah to turn the hearts of the people back toward God and restore the land. The drama of the story, plus Mendelssohn�s beautiful music has earned �Elijah� a place as one of the most popular oratorios ever composed.


Tickets: 15,000 won in advance; 25,000 won at the door

Advance tickets for �Elijah� may be purchased from CMC Chorale members or via bank transfer.

Camarata Music Company is a non-profit organization that provides collaborative performance opportunities to musicians of multiple nationalities residing in Korea.
