I'm working on getting my roof patio ready for the summer. The surface is dusty because it's just bare concrete and I want to paint it. Can anyone tell me the Korean for "sealer" or whatever you cover concrete in?
Thanks! |

Yeah. I did that. The guy pointed at a green garden hose, and I knew I was in over my head.
Seriously, what is that stuff?? It's everywhere - parking garages, sidewalks, etc... |

It is polyurethane waterproofing.
우레탄방수 Green is for exposed places, black must be covered by another layer.
It comes in a two part system - A + B. Which are mixed together with a low speed mixer ( so as not to introduce too much air into the mixture - which will generate pinholes in the coating as it cures) and gives a working time of approx 2hrs.
The concrete should be clean and dry, free of contaminants and defects.
Ideally prepare the surface with a primer- this seals the surface dust and allows a better adhesion of the coating.
Apply a strip to the edge / perimeter and any penetrations , drains in the area. Then apply to the full area using a roller and or rubber spreader.
Apply a 2mm thickness. 24 hours later apply another 1mm thick coating.
( try to apply in perpendicular directions - this reduces missed areas or 'shadow' spots around defects in the surface)

| And be careful of the fumes. When they put that stuff on the roof of an old villa of mine, it was nasty (although it didn't go down to the house below). I imagine very flammable fumes, as well. |

| Thank you!!! But yeah, 250,000 is pretty nuts, especially for a place I don't own. Indoor-outdoor carpet it is. |
