Are international check cards from Korean banks able to be used on foreign websites (i.e. PayPal and Google Checkout)?

The problem I've always had with trying to do this is that PayPal, for example, demands a billing address and specifically a postal code that is linked to the card, in order to verify the card.

I think it MAY be possible with a KEB Visa, although you have to jump through some hoops to make it work right [possibly including visits to a branch and calls to PayPal customer service].

If it is a Maestro or one of those BC things, I don't think you'll get anywhere. And even Visa cards don't always work--I spent a ridiculous amount of time and trouble to get a 'Global' Visa from Nonghyup, and it doesn't even work at overseas ATMs [after being told, repeatedly, that it would].

It would be a lot better to keep an American/Canadian/wherever card in your name and use that. It's what I've been doing here and I've had no trouble at all.
