Hey everyone, I have the red blinking light of death on my ps3. I took it to the sony service center and I was quoted 185,000 won for a probable motherboard replacement. Its an old 40 gig fat model so I wasn't interested in paying that.
Does anyone know if there is place in Yongsan, or anywhere else, that might repair it a bit cheaper?
There are a few places in Kukje Electronics Center near Nambu terminal. I've had my PS3 (and PSP) repaired there a few times now. Go up to the 9th floor and look around. It is quite easy to find the repair shops. The shop I've used several times (with success) is right next to the PC games shop - the only PC game shop in the place- so it should be easy to locate.
There are repair shops in Yongsan as well, but my only experience with them has been a bad one.
