Okay, I'm moving to Korea this August and need to know what are my options for internet providers (and costs with basics of upload/download speeds).
Over a decade ago, I lived in Pusan and used a DSL provider, but I know that the speeds are supremely better now; however, I'm clueless about my options.
Same holds true for cell providers. I used to use whatever company provided numbers starting with 011, but that was the days of a cellphone was just a phone. What are my choices as far as data and voice plans. I'm going to go with a smartphone of some type (does anyone not get a smartphone anymore there?).
I'm on a 2 year contract (international school), and when I lived in Korea before, I had a car, and I want another because we're bringing a rather large dog with us (please avoid turning this into why one should or shouldn't bring a dog--he's family to us). Based on my goals and contract, a lease might really be a good idea for my wife (Korean born and raised) and I. Does anyone know if leasing is even possible in Korea, and if so, what are the normal parameters?
Thanks Dave's community!
Mods, sorry about the off tech topic portion of my post, but please understand I didn't want to divvy up that part to another page. |
