So I'm doing this to help a friend. Yes, I know there's a job board, tons of sites and recruiters... BUT I presume not everyone's a "google it first" asshat, so I thought I'd help my pal out. The only luck she's having is "out in the country." She's in Ansan and would like to stay in the area, but of course will stay in Seoul.

I figure someone has to know someone that's in need right now...

Her hagwon closed (she has her release letter), so she's going home on 4/29 for a month and wants to start back in June.

As of today, her visa expires in October/November (thereabouts). Ideally, she wants to sign before she leaves on the 29th and just transfer it right over. If she doesn't, she's gonna switch to a D10 before she goes home to visit...

Thanks for any and all help.

DISCLAIMER: She is South African and well aware there is a lot of North American favoritism, but is persistent.

2 things at a minimum:

1) be aware the school may cancel her visa; and

2) if she plans to leave the country, she may have to re-enter on a tourist visa, which might be a bit tricky if she's from SA; does her visa have a re-entry option on it?

She has her letter of release. She leaves on 4/29. If its looking worse for the wear in the next day, she's gonna just go to Kimmi and switch over to a D10.

Start knocking on doors. Just go up to the hagwon in town and hand in some resumes. Network.

Plus she needs to see herself. Why should a school hire her versus somebody else. I mean if she can save a school a recruiters fee - bonus. If she does not need to collection pension - more bonus for school. School can possibly save on plane ticket as also she has to do is transfer over.

She also has to pre answer any problems or questions. Okay she is transferring - will she work a full year or does she want to leave early. Why is she leaving her present job - which sells more? I was fired, I quit, or my school closed down. Telling the school closed says this teacher is not a problem teacher.

Her boss did not cancel her visa. They closed the school due to lack of ₩.
