Can anyone suggest a nice place to have a picnic in Seoul? I've come up with Olympic Park, and Seoul Forest, but there must be others...

Actually, without even reading the body of your message, those two were the ones that came to mind. Seriously - been here 3 years, and looked. Might not be anywhere better.

There's a terrific place for a picnic just North of the Han River. It's next to the military housing. Youngsan Family Park I think it's called. It's like a beautiful western oasis in the middle of Seoul. It was like a haven to me when I would get sick of the concrete jungle, but couldn't get out of town. It has a small lake. Well taken care of grounds and grass they actually let you walk/sit on.
The only downside is that it's not huge and can get busy with Koreans. I hadn't seen many foreigners there which I always found odd. I kind of thought of it as my own, best kept secret. Well until now that is.

It's adjacent to the grounds of the National Museum of Korea, which also has its own little park.

If that somehow doesn't suit you, there are all kinds of great places along the Han River itself. I particularly enjoyed the span between Dongjak bridge and Banpo.

Enjoy!

World Cup Stadium off of line 6. Lots of wooded areas with lawn in and around the park, especially if you can get out there at non-peak times. Easy to stock up right there, too, so no need to lug a bunch of eats and hooch around.

Keep in mind that "Seoul Forest" is not a forest though

How's Ttukseom Resort for a picnic? Any grassy areas to sit down on? A view of the Han River would be nice.
