Hi there, I moved to Korea a month ago and am currently waiting on my ARC card. I have an unlocked iPhone 4 (from the UK) and want to get a contract SIM for it (ideally 300 mins, texts and unlimited data).
Any ideas how the hell I go about it? I don't speak good enough Korean, my co-teacher isn't able to help me and I have no idea where in Busan (if anywhere) there is an English-speaking cell phone store. I have emailed MobileBoo to see if they could offer advice but no reply.
If anyone can help/give advice/point me toward an english-speaking store I'd be ever so happy! |

Hey, I will have the same issue when I come to Korea in July. I'm from Middlesbrough but lived in Leeds for many years. I'm move to Sacheon which isn't too far from Busan. |

If you have an unlocked iPhone it's pretty easy *in theory*
Most Olleh (KT) stores can do it for you, although some will say they can't and some won't know how they can so they may not even try. Tried 5 stores before hitting a 6th that said "No problem!" (through Google translate). It's trial and error, at least it was in my experience. KT customer service even called several stores to confirm they would do it, yet when I went in to sign up in person I got the arms crossed in an X or pointed in a different direction.
You'll need your ARC and between 30 mins to 1 hour to get set up. They don't do it on Saturdays either, or at least they couldn't with me. |
