I should of been more prepared when I left for Korea 5 years ago, now I have no money, no food, and no job, and staying with my girlfriend.

I feel like killing myself, I can't blame anyone except myself.

A warning to English Teachers, learn from my example, save money, and don't waste money on prostitutes which are cheap and don't party like a rock star and wasting money on VIP tables to get korea girls like I did it's no worth it but it felt great at the time, but looking at my life now, I regret it.
I wasted 5 years of my life trying to escape my own problems to bring them with me in Korea.
You have to be prepared and have a plan before you travel abroad.

Any suggestions????
Any Help??

Seems like you already realized the mistake...so what "help" are you seeking?

Lots of dudes come here and try live like the rock/hip hop star they always dreamed of being, even though they cant really afford to get down like that. Everyone wants to be a "baller" and walk into clubs or otherwise around the city and roll like some V.I.P.

Good that you learned the lesson though, because i know 40-something year olds who make the same mistakes. Well, it may not be a mistake for them because they enjoy the time, and dont seem to care about the future...so who is anyone else to tell them otherwise.

I feel like Korea just wants me to crawl into a corner and just die.
No help from anyone, I don't want to die here in Korea. If I wasn't living with my gf, I would be fuked.

Why did I pick Korea should of went to Japan or China or maybe I should of stayed in America. Now my pleasures became a nightmare. Everyday I wake up I'm stuck in this same sad situation and there is no way out.

Waiting for my documents so I can teach, save enough money and get a plane ticket and then go home and never come back to Korea.

Untill then, I'm a walking Zombie just floatiing in Korea.
I'm dead already!!

It's funny how this board attracts so many crazy people.

Doing your research for the Dave's Book, I hope. Consider it being illegally downloaded in the future by myself. Cool Joking, I'll pay the Pirate Bay fee.

Laughing

A Dave's history is something I would like to read! I like hearing the old timers talk about board drama from back in the day.

I notice IPayInCash hasn't been around lately. Maybe it was he who was banned?

Leaving out the conjunction and plugging a comma in its place is a telltale sign this was written by a Korean.

Exhibit B. The English is so strange it's hard to determine what thought the writer is trying to articulate. Are people supposed to hire expensive prostitutes instead of cheap ones?

Using "no" instead of "not" is yet another mistake that is very common among Korean writers of English, but is extremely rare among native speakers.

I rest my case.

I'd say watch the movie "Groundhog Day". Very Happy

There's an old Chinese tale about a young man who wasted his family fortune in pleasure. He was wandering around in rags when he was approached by an old man. Old man heard his story and then asked "Do you think you've lived and done everything?" Young man replied: No, I want to go back to living the high life. Old man said: "Here's money, I'll be back when you're spent.
The young man went back to life of pleasure and spent another fortune. This money, eventually ran out as well. He was now ill with disease and was shown the door. Wandering in rags again, he met the old man once more. The young man said: I'm done with high life, but why do you keep coming back to me? Old man said: I believe you are ready become a holy man like myself. (a holy man in China is like an immortal but not a god) Come with me.
They went to a cave deep in the mountains. Old man prepared a potion and said: Drink this, you'll experience many things but what ever happens, you MUST NOT SPEAK until you're awake again. Young man drank it. He was born again as a baby girl in a middle class family. He kept mute. His family was wiped out in a war but fortuunately he was adopted by another. He kept mute. He grew up and got married to an uncaring and at times a violent husband. He still kept mute. He (she) gave birth to a baby daughter. Nearly into 40's now but he had still kept mute.
One day his(her) violent husband in a fit of rage, threw their baby daughter to the floor (obviously wanted a son). Through near forty years of tumult and hardship but he had kept mute but this was too much, so he let out a scream.

He was back in the cave with the old man. Old man said: You were so close to becoming a holy man! After all that, couldn't you keep silent for just a little longer! Well, you have failed. You aren't ready. Goodbye. The old man walked away. The young man walked down the road in rags. The world had remained the same, forty year hadn't passed, young man hadn't aged, in fact he looked slightly younger.
