Here I sit in a restaurant next to my school. Crosses on the walls, etc., and the music they are playing is some Nicki Minaj tune where she keeps repeating "Mutha F...ers" and "Sh...t" every few lines. This restaurant is run by old people.O

It's a given that they would do that ad - have you seen their pornography? Wink

My all time best experience like this was at VIPS. Kids birthday parties going on, families out for dinner, young couples on dates......and DMX, uncensored no less, playing over the sound system! I love this country!!

About two years ago the Cafe Juleno in Yatap/Bundang had "D*** in a Box" on an hourly rotation, along with some song that I can only imagine was Lil Wayne with descriptions of sex acts that would make George R.R. Martin blush.

I heard a really weird k-pop song a while ago while I was walking past a store. It was a girl band but I have no idea which one. The song was mainly in Korea but had a few lines in English - which just happened to be the part I heard as I was passing by. Something like...

You say you love me, say you're true,
But then I'm just your jail bait number two.

Shocked

(and then she went back to singing in Korean)

I stopped to listen to the rest of the song, but I have a hard time understanding Korean when it's sung and couldn't get much of what she was singing about. There were a couple other English lines but I don't remember them. The English part was repeated at least 2 more times so I'm quite sure I heard it correctly. I've never heard that song before or since and I haven't been able to figure out the title or the name of the singer.

I was shopping in Homeplus once, and Snoop dog came on.

"Place the b___s into the mouth and hummmm."

No one noticed but us waegukins.

I also once was walking past those dancing girls with the speakers blaring advertising a new business.

"The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire. Let the motherf___er burn!" For the whole neighborhood to hear.

That's nothing. Variety shows ON NATIONAL KOREAN TV in the late 1980s and early 1990s had rap songs with explicit lyrics. I remember one show with three hip-hop dancers and hordes of elderly in the audience, and in the background, 2 Live Crew's "We Want Some P---y" was playing. I was like WTF?

At the gym this morning, a group of 40-50 year old ajummas in an aerobics class were rocking it to some hardcore dance tune that went something like...SEX ON THE BEACH, SEX ON THE BEACH, SEX ON THE BEACH, over and over again. Priceless.

Oh yeah, I can remember walking through Jong-ro in 1999 and that song was blasting from the speakers at a corner shop in the middle of the day on a crowded street. I, too, was like "WTF?" Laughing

So none of you would ever be saying "Thank you for your kindness" to someone plying you with obscenities in a language which you didn't understand? Shocked

Geez, lighten up. Life is all about enjoying harmless ironies when you find them.
