Is there something you like about Korea? Something big, something tiny, something weird, something beautiful? |

It's always at the top of my students' lists. And mine too.
And the beaches. (I live on an island full of a variety of them: big, small, sandy, pebbles, shallow, deep, close, closer - though my fav is farther, on Namhae Island) |

I must thank Korea for helping me to get over my fear of public transportation. I hop on buses and subways now without a second thought. |

You were afraid of public transportation?
Why? |

Where I grew up, there's no such things as public transit. Then I went to college and the first time I tried to take a bus, I got lost and nearly slipped on some guy's vomit. Then I had some shady experiences on the metro in DC. I went from being in complete control of my trip in a car to being at the mercy of others on public transit. |

One of the few compliments I've seen on beaches. I'll have to visit that island. |
