Hi,
Is there a way to get rid of all the bloat ware on the tworld sII. the amount of junk on there is unbelievable.
Also, I'm hoping it's compatible to use in the UK. it says HSPA+ on the box and England currently only has standard WCDMA, so I'm assuming its backward compatible. the woman in the phone shop said it would work in the UK.
She said the android updates would be over the air. However, I'm using a KT sim card in it so not sure how this works.
Would be great if someone with the same phone could give me the lowdown. |

By 'Tworld', I take it that the device in concern was released for SK Telecom.
Per SKT's overseas roaming guide, SKT clients in the UK can use full range of WCDMA mobile access, including voice calls, video calls, texts and data communication.
This is not to say you should use your smartphone on SKT's roaming service after you return to the UK, it is rather that your device is fully compatible with British mobile infrastructure.
Android upgrade to 4.0 ICS is provided by Samsung the manufacturer, instead of respective mobile networks. However, 4.0 ICS has been met with unresolved issues of backward incompatibility with some of popular apps designed prior to the release of ICS.
App developers would certainly address this issue unless they have already done so, yet it always take some time for a whole new version of OS to become fully 'stabilised.' |

Thanks for the info.
I'm hoping the S2 I've bought will work on a uk provider. It took a lot of hassle over the last two days for the phone to register a new sim, and it seemed like the guy in the shop had to do a lot of fiddling to get it to work, so I'm not sure how lucky I'll be! Will see when I go home for the summer.
I had a great deal though, 350,000 second hand S2 but pristeen condition and with a one year warranty. Very nice.
By the way, I'm assuming the TV thing that's on the phone will only work if I'm with SK? I'm using a KT sim in there. |

I thought DMB TV function works more like the phone camera? The only way you'd know for sure is to pull out the antenna and engage TV app. Unless the antenna is fully extended, you won't get a TV signal. |
