I'm after a laptop which I can use for gaming, video and photo editing. I'm leaving Korea soon and plan on getting a desktop wherever I end up and need something to fill in the gaps!

I'd like to do some gaming (mostly Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal 2) and 'light video editing.' I guess my budget would be 1.5 max, but lower would be better Also, a full HD screen would be handy.

Do I really need i7 or can I get by on i5? I looked at an earlier thread and found these two

Can you recommend anything else? The screen doesn't have to be 15.4 inches, but I don't think I want a 17 inch screen either.

Sorry, I'm asking because I guess I'm not very tech savy! I have a three year old Duo Core 2.3 desktop, which does fine for most things, but newer games and video editing.
