Has anyone had a cracked ipad screen and if so how did they get it fixed? I bought mine less than a month ago and yesterday dropped it, which cracked the screen badly. I bought applecare, but from reading online it seems in U.S. they sell applecare+ which covers accidental damage twice and in Korea only applecare which does not cover accidental damage?

Geeze, sounds like Applecare is a waste.

Wow, is this true? I just bought a new ipad with apple care and only got it for the accidental damage. If it doesn't cover that I want a refund. Can anyone confirm this?

I work with Apple vendors, there is no accidental coverage in Korea (I presume because Apple does not have an official store here). AppleCare only applies to non-user damage issues. If they find any form of user damage, your'e SOL.

Yes AppleCare doesn't cover accidental breakages, only AppleCare+ does which is sold only certain countries US, Canada and Japan. You do have to pay 50 dollars to get it fixed with AppleCare+ and can do it only 2 times during coverage period. Sucks I know for people outside of the AppleCare+ areas.

So they cover non-user damage like what??

Basically they can say what they want and say its your fault in order for them to avoid covering you. Another loophole they use to rip off customers

Sorry that the screen broke. Might checking out that Apple product repair guys in mokdong if possible. they usually post there services on craigslist and times here. wouldn't hurt to give a call and see what happens.
