It's actually an oversimplification to blame it all on millenials. I was in Montreal in March and a lot of the protesters were older people. This isn't to say that youth aren't in the majority, but it goes beyond that. In any case, bear in mind that even with the tuition hike, in-province students will still have some of the lowest tuition in the developed world (less than $3,000 a year). Moreover, I'm pretty sure all the universities in Quebec have finished their winter semester by this point and this policy would mostly apply to CEGEPs.
Regardless, I'm in favor of anything to get these obnoxious kids to stop shutting down traffic every afternoon while pleading poverty (then proceeding to Crescent for six dollar beers shortly thereafter). You have nothing to complain about when your tuition hasn't even been adjusted for inflation since 1994.
