Has anyone used this recruiting company? If you have, what school did you join? Thank you! |

I did and they set me up with the worst place ever... I was in the slums, lived with rusty-water and bug-infestation in a 40 year-old apartment that people couldn't believe someone would actually live in! The boss didn't speak English and the co-teacher was known for molesting female teachers (and almost raped my American co-worker) before he stole a bunch of money and ran away... I had to do my boss' kids' hw, have him drop by my house whenever he felt like it, and try to track down the 40,000 the other teacher had stolen in Australia! @.@; There are so many horror stories, and when we told the recruiters they didn't seem to care too much since they called and asked our boss if they needed their services once we left! Ridiculous... I met someone else who used them and liked her small apartment, hours of paid overtime, and hectic schedule at a different hagwon but... I always warn people against LP... |

I saw a listing on ESL Cafe and flicked them my resume, they responded very quickly and organised a phone interview with a school. Initially very impressed with the service and quick response. All went well, was offered the job - but some of the clauses in my contract had clearly been translated and not very well. I asked what those clauses meant and no one got back to me, about a week later I contacted them and they said the school was now interviewing other people.
First of all, thanks for NOT LETTING me know I was no longer considered for the job. And second of all, CHECK YOUR CONTRACT, don't just assume it's OK, in one of my clauses that I was questioning, it said something about deducting half my pay for the first two months and then 500,000 each month after that. If they can't answer your questions, do not sign. Simple as that. |

i was about to respond to this thread saying, "Oh my God! Don't use them!" ...and then i noticed it was me who asked the question. hahaha. yes, i did some research and determined this recruiting company is shady as heck. i didn't trust them at all, and eventually went with a well established recruiting agency and a public school. |

I was in contact with them for a little bit and quickly came to the conclusion that it was best to stay away. |
