Thanks!!! Now that it has all been whitewashed
China awarded the Olympics, world leaders kowtowing to the Party bosses. Alsmost like it never happened.

Just seeing those young and idealistic, brave faces and knowing the slaughter that is to come it brought tears. "Tank man willing to stand up to the state, and all it's power"!!! Dear God.

The Olympics are supposed to be about international cooperation and putting sport above petty politics. I have no issue with politicians putting aside their differences in beliefs and any past transgressions and place the Games themselves in the forefront.

That being said, you must really not keep up with the news if you think the US or others are leaving the past in the past. The US has been badgering China on humans rights and economical issues for at least a couple years now.
