After many lovely days spent in middle-eastern restaraunts recently I have decided that I need a water pipe- for tobacco. Looking online I can't find any that ship to South korea, but I know that the supplies must be available as every M-E restaraunt has them and plenty of supplies. Roundabout, I'm asking if anyone knows where the hookah dealership is? I suppose its by the mosque in Itaewon, but thats a large area to randomly wander.

Demonicat,

Are there any Middle Eastern restaurants in Seoul where one can smoke shisha? I bought one in Egypt a few years back but it rusted on me and had to be thrown away. Would love to just kick back with a bit of mint tea and shisha Cool

My friend, there are many. to my knowledge they are all around itaewon. There are 2 on the hill near pizza hut (incl. Petra's which I find to be the best). There is Ali Baba's (overpriced) on main street. There is also turkish house near the mosque which I've heard to be pretty good.
I recomend Petra as they are great people who serve great food for amazing prices. They have 6 flavours in stock, and a bowl costs 12.000, but its packed rather well so it lasts and lasts. Hmmm, maybe we should have s smoking party this weekend. anyone interested?

Avoid the Turkish place near the mosque, unless you like ajuma hair with your salads. Mad ( The hummus I had before that was nice, though a little bland)

the turkish restaurant, shalaom, is alright. it's around the corner from the mosque. it isn't great but i don't think any of them in itaewon are - and i think i've been to all of them. but it is cheap and the lamb is good.
they sell hookas there. you can buy the entire pipe or just a puff.

Demonicat - I checked out Petra and would like to give it another round before I scratch it off. A good smoke would do the trick. Would you be adverse to something Saturday noonish?

If not, fire me a PM.

I'm interested in the food, but don't know much of it (other than hummus, couscous and tzidki?) so would love to hear some suggestions of food to eat.
Good thread by the way.

Don't know about hookahs. Wouldn't a bong do in a pinch? Laughing

I'm craving some kunafa. With cheese.

A bong would do, but...well, it'd miss the atmosphere and legality of doing it at a park. That said, I have been looking at milk jugs... but the tasty tobacco is the hard part.
