They might have it in Itaewon at the different international food stores.

There is one directly across from King's Club bar, as well as another 20 meters up the hill on the same side as King's Club.

To find that street, leave Itaewon station exit #3 toward Starbucks. Pass Starbucks and keep going until the intersection. Turn right and keep going straight about 70 meters or so. You should see both places.

To be perfectly honest, though, I highly recommend 2020 brand Korean toothpaste in the blue box (blue alpha flavor). It works very well, and is everywhere.

I believe I saw some at the foreign goods store in Hongdae.

I HATE the taste of Korean toothpaste and always make sure to bring more than I'll ever need every time I go over.

You might find it in a foreign import store for $10/box
beyond that you won't find it. Neither colgate nor crest are available in country. The only western toothpastes you can get with consistency are Amway Glister and Arm and Hammer. once or twice I've seen a colgate (or crest) kids toothpaste on naver, but that's the closest you'll get.

Olive Young, Watsons, Emart, Homeplus, and etc, all had Crest Whitening Toothpaste up until sometime last year. Then it just disappeared. They might still have it at the big places like Homeplus or Emart. I don't go there often.

I used Colgate Total for many years, but on Swampfox's recommendation I tried the 2080 Original Alpha Blue (blue box) and it really is good. Cheap, too. Thanks, Swampfox!

You could try one of the import markets in Namdaemun market. If you haven't been there, Namdaemun market is a huge outdoor open market that spans several streets. I have seen a lot of western products there including old spice deodorant, many shampoos, and even protein powder. I didn't see Colgate toothpaste, but I wasn't looking for it either.

Colgate is still hard to come by there? When I moved to China last year, I stocked up on enough to get through a year just like I had done in Korea everytime I went home. Low and behold, it wasn't necessary as I can buy all the Colgate Whitening gel I want for around $2 a tube here from just about any shop/market. And yes, it is pretty much the same stuff as back home. Come on, Korea.

As others mentioned, I used to find it at the black market type shops (Red Door) in Itaewon. It was expensive as hell.

Hi Gobble- I haven't tried the 2080 Pro 90, but it's a different variety. The one here says "2080 Original Alpha Blue" in English on the back. I like the freshness level, consistency, foam level, and overall feeling of clean. It may be my imagination, but in retrospect Colgate Total seemed more abrasive than necessary for me. I could be wrong.

A bit of a tangent but IMO it doesn't matter so much what toothpaste you use if you have a decent electric brush. Go for a Sonicare electric toothbrush and get rid of coffee/red wine/chocolate stains and plaque.

I have no affiliation with Sonicare, I've just owned one for three years and would never use another brush again.

Foreign Food Mart in Itaewon has it in the newly added right side. It's on a shelf facing the cookies.
