I am looking to leave a job. I have all of my paperwork. I have a couple of questions.
1. When I leave and go to Japan how long does it take to get a visa conformation #?
2. Can I cancel my visa and hand my ARC card in at my local Pension office or labor board? Or do I have to do it at the airport (I am leaving through Busan.).
3. How does it work getting my pension sent home?

You do it at immigration at the airport.

Remittance. However, since you are returning, you might as well just set your Korean account up to send money to your home account and then all they have to do is deposit the money into your Korean account. Your choice. |

1) unless you are pulling a runner you should either:
a) have your visa confirmation number before you go
b) be able to simply transfer your E2 to a new employer.
(it takes about 4-10 working days AFTER it hits the desk at immigration to process a visa confirmation number.
2) To cancel your visa you simply hand in your ARC to immigration as you go through passport control on your way out of the country. NOT having an ARC when you go through passport control can cost you 100k won.
3) Go to the pension office with your passport, ARC, exit ticket and bank information where you want the money sent. It will be forwarded about 30 days after they confirm the cancellation of your visa/departure.
