It may just be me but I'm wondering if anyone has noticed the air quality being worse the last few weeks? It's not my first year here so I'm used to some minor hacking. I'm wondering if it's the change in season/temps?
Anyone notice anything or have any thoughts on better breathing?!?! |

Are you in Seoul? From what I remember the air quality gets pretty bad around this time of year. Maybe it has something to do with higher humidity? |

I'm north of central Seoul about 30-45 minutes. I'm guessing it qualifies as under the same cloud of gunk. Yeah it is more humid & maybe that's part of it. |

I would say it's definitely worse.
Last spring I often noticed some minor irritation in my throat when I went outside but this spring I've got a full on productive cough/hack.
I'm in South Jeolla province, fyi. |

Very similar for me. Last year some allergy stuff but this seems like full blown smog problems. |

My annual spring pollution/dust cough lasted a few days longer than usual... |

There is pollution to be sure. But, there's a lot of pollen blowing through the air. There's also a lot damp moisture that comes off the sea making the air seem thick so you can't always see the mountains. A windy day blows it away, gives a blue sky, and the mountains can be seen. |

Yeah, it must be an early summer combo of pollution and pollen. My K co-teach is sick today with a throat problem too. |
