|
|
I lost my passport about 3 weeks ago. I called the embassy and made an appointment to get a new one.
I will bring a passport photo, 160,000 won, proof of employment, US Driver's license, and a police report.
Is there anything else I need to bring?
I heard you need a passport to get a new ARC card. Does this mean I have to wait for my passport to be mailed to me before I go to immigration to get a new ARC card? How much does a new one cost? Where is immigration (mokdong?), are they open on weekends?
Is there a number I can call where someone would have turned it in. I think I left it one the bus going from Gimpo to Bundang.
Argg this is super frustrating I can't even begin to tell you. So any help given is much appreciated.. |

You can go to immigration, report the loss of your ARC and apply for a new one to be sent to you.
The cost is 10k won.
They will usually allow you to apply for it (replacement ARC) without your passport (show the police report and/or new passport application receipt).
Immigration (Mokdong): take the subway to Omokyo (line 5/purple line) station.
Go out exit 7. go straight ahead (follow the other foreigners heading the same way).
Follow the road until it curves to the right.
You will come to a T-intersection.
You will see the immigration building across the road on the left side of the "T". It is 6 floors tall, has "immigration" written on it in Korean and English and looks like this:

Thanks! Are they open on weekends? If not, what time do they close on weekdays? |
