I have hairy arms. I can read English, speak it and write it well. YAY how original. I am white. I am a boring person from Canada. But in Korea I am interesting. The kids like my hairy arms, or else think they are strange. They are dumbfounded when in the presence of an actual normal English language dialogue. They see me reading my newspaper and cannot hide their comments.

So I guess I am very interesting to some people at least. More so than ever before I took that fateful plane across the Pacific!

Note to mods: This topic is OFF.

I felt more interesting in Canada. Here I feel like I'm perceived as just another whacky waygook.

Agreed. My hairy arms, tattoos, and ability to speak English may turn heads here, but I think I'm interesting for reasons the people who notice the other things will never get.

and my impersonations of korean girls whining on the phone...

(blank blank blank blank) shipshioooooowwwwooooooowwwww....

that polyphonic, multi-tiered whine always makes me way more interesting.
